This entry will be sort of a two for one deal today; I kind of fell behind in my writings lately and don’t have time to write two separate entries this week.

First off summer is reeking havoc on me already, wanting to be outside in the sun is becoming an everyday ritual that is never fulfilled, that is until I have to sit in traffic for a few hours to get home.

School is going well even after falling way behind due to some family problems that I wont delve into at the moment. But nonetheless Digital Jeenyus is starting up again, I have actually snapped up a few fairly big clients for this winter and one for this summer producing HD (High Definition) film of snowboarding and skateboarding for screeners and final reels.

I have almost finished the screener video for one of my clients, it could possibly be up next week. That is if all the compression and final editing goes well.

In other news, the website is coming along slowly but creatively, as new CSS is being learned every week. Trying to incorporate that into the actual site is turning out to be a bit of a challenge as I am one who is big on interactive and eye-catching media, like java script and flash which sometimes butts heads in the coding area.

With three websites slowly coming together, and video projects and ideas popping into my brain at any given moment, my creativity seems to be continuously nudged along trying to come up with unique designs for each company which is great because one can never have to much of it, and in this field it’s the key to success.

Welcome to another great posting by yours truly.

The workings of Digital Jeenyus have started coming into play again as a new music track has been released after about a year since the previous hits. The newest song is called “Smack It Right” featuring Akon and Eminem mixed over a Nelly Furtado track.
It seemed to pan out really well with the different voice curves matching the audio curves perfectly to produce a great sounding tune.

If youd like to have a listen i’ve uploaded it into the tunes box on the right, just click the song and it will load and play. Feel free to leave me a comment on what you thought about it.

In other news, I have submitted an entry for a local conest that a new compnay was promoting. The idea of their company is to get people to stat groing their own gardens, the reason for this is to cut down on transporting them in which in the end reduces emissions. The concept for the poster was pretty simple, I took a refrigerator full of veggies and put it in a field, thats it!
The simplicity used, is to get to the point so people dont stray away and will actually look at it.

As of next week we will be in the works of filming a reality show based on the life of me and my friends. I have copious amounts of support form all of my friends and family which s great because im going to need alot of help producing it. The whole thing will be recorded in High Definition 1080p for superior quality, the only downside of this is the humongous file sizes and trying to compress it to fit onto the website. I will however put some snippets of it on here as it progresses and the final production will be available upon completion.

Well thats about it for this week, enjoy your weekend and dont forget to have a listen to the latest track on the right >>>>>

Yes its time for another posting, as my work piles up at home and school I find myself constantly battling for time to do each project, study for midterms and even squeezing in some sleep.

I guess I only have myself to blame for letting it all kind of slip between the cracks a little bit. But I’m on top of it and putting out some excellent designs. My most recent has been for my acrobat class; I had to create a unique and creative design with a few elements, so like I usually do most of my work I put in a little extra, creating a 5 page website like document.

So I decided to change the layout of the blog as you have noticed. I didn’t really like the drabness of the dark layout previous to this one. This one seems to be more fun and welcoming which is great for new visitors. You probably also noticed that I have added one of the commercials I made for anti-smoking, keep in mind when you view it that what’s in the cup isn’t what you think it is. . .

I made the video for fun and also to inform people how bad smoking is, now its sort of ironic because I myself am a smoker so it’s a bit funny, in a sad kind of way ha-ha. Anyways, I’ve got to get some work done and this blog writing takes up valuable time, so I’ll leave you with this video.

Enjoy your weekend and have a great day. Cheers, T

Welcome back to the grind y’all. I hope everyone had an excellent long weekend in the sun (or rain if you were in the city). We had some excellent weather on our trip, which made the trip even more enjoyable. There was however a fantastic mountain thunderstorm that rumbled the entire canyon for a few hours with only a spatter of rain.

I have been quite stressed this past week with deaths in the family and my mother in the hospital so everything business wise has been kept on hold until I can screw my head on straight again.

School is going well though; the program has turned out to be very interesting and sometimes cumbersome when getting into some finer details. I guess that’s how it goes with work like this; you put in the hard work and get fantastic results.

As this week has ended with some difficulties, I’m looking forward to the weekend and a less stressful last few weeks before the next semester starts in June.

Cheers, T

Welcome to Friday! It’s just the beginning of the long weekend and im already anxious to get outta here and get the party started. I’m leaving tonight and heading up to a friends cabin near hundred mile house with a few buddies for a relaxing weekend of boating, fishing and of course drinking some delicious beer, mmmmmmm.

Long weekend aside I have some news about our website. Over the next few weeks I will be working with some pros to create an intriguing CSS style layout with almost endless user options. The current site was created for temporary use because we lost the original file somewhere on our server…. Yeah it sucked.

The video project is going smoothly and will be finished next week and hopefully up on here or linked to at least. The other projects on the go have quickly been taken over and are also in the finishing stages, but unfortunately there will be no more big clients taken in because school is going to pick up in the next few weeks and I just wont have the time to complete huge projects.

Well I think this is going to be a short entry today, I’m just way to eager to get out and enjoy the sun. Have a good long weekend!

Cheers, Trav

Well it’s that time again, yes another message on the wall. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous here in Vancouver, 20 + degrees for the last few days. I have started a few new projects with Digital Jeenyus recently and have learned some new tricks of the trade at school.

Last week a friend of mine came to me and asked if I could put together a short demo reel for him. He is a semi professional mountain bike rider and was looking to get sponsored by some large companies who were interested in him. The biggest challenge with this project is trying to find a really good song that suits the video’s theme. When this project is finished I will have had several large companies see the video and with any luck pass on a few of my business cards. Jason is pretty excited about this too because if it gets him sponsored, he will be receiving free gear, bikes and clothes as well as some decent money.

The other project on the go is some advertising for a company called ‘every lawn a garden’ they are trying to get people to rely on home grown fruits and vegetables rather than the imported supply. They have asked for a creative way to convey the message to the public so I will be creating some commercial like video, as well as some posters and brochures.

Well I think that’s about it for this week, I’m running out of time here so ill cut this one short. Have yourselves a great weekend and check back next week for some more news and possibly a special viewing of the demo reel.

Cheers,
Trav

Well to start off Id like to welcome you to our blog, and if you would like to visit our site, you can do so at the link provided at the bottom of this blog.

I’ve never really blogged or spilled the beans publicly before so bare with me if it’s a little bit archaic and let me tell you a little bit about how Digital Jeenyus came to be what it is today and what its all about, I guess I could explain a touch about myself as well for any of you who would like to know.

Digital Jeenyus Media Productions was created in the early months of 2006 after having handfuls of people asking me to produce media for them. Trying out around 20 different names and logo designs through the previous years I had never really decided on making myself a company per say, but I decided to create Digital Jeenyus so I could have a way to distribute and sell my products better and more professionally. So far it has appeared to work because to date I have had numerous clients including Mutual Fire Insurance of British Columbia, Lasting Impressions Photography, and a few others who I work closely with still.

As I look at the way things are marketed and advertised today, I‘ve found that new media techniques have become more and more prevalent in society, and technologies are constantly changing and diversifying, which makes the need for someone who can understand it and more importantly package it all into a finished product more and more imperative to companies and people who don’t understand it in the slightest bit, and to also help them earn valuable customers, partners and of course, revenue.

Now to tell you a bit about myself, I was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan my younger years and moved to British Columbia in about 2000 or so with my mom and 2 younger sisters. I’ve been into computer stuff for quite sometime and am self-taught in most of the programs that I use. I started working full time right out of high school doing numerous labor-intensive jobs like changing tires, and construction. I also drove tow truck about 2 years ago back in Regina, and that had to be the most exciting, yet challenging job I’ve done because the hours and pay were good but the bad car accidents really got to me, having to see people who had died in the crash… Oh well, it only makes you stronger right?

On a lighter note I have recently had the opportunity of a lifetime to start a New Media and Web Development program at BCIT’s Burnaby campus to help further my existing knowledge, and introduce me into the industry as a professional with a certificate. This Blog is for my new media communications class so I will be updating it weekly with info on Digital Jeenyus and other tidbits you might find interesting.
